Not a cardiograph by any stretch. Also not reliable as pulse rate monitor.
Not a cardiograph by any stretch. Also not reliable as pulse rate monitor.
Was very stable for pre-8.0 update on both iPhone 4sand iPad3. Now opens and immediately crashes.
Theres your ultimatum.
My only complaint (so far) is that the monitor records your rhythm reverse chronologically, so when looking at it, its backwards from a normal tele strip or ekg. These "strips" are read right to left, instead of the normal left to right. I have what I am guessing are PVCs, and have a regular rhythm otherwise. There is a longer pause after the PVCs than between regular beats, but these records make the pause appear like its before the irregular beat. Updates should correct this to make it more accurately reflect what clinicians are accustomed to looking at.
The app was working great until we updated to 8.1.1. Now it opens briefly then immediately closes again.
After working well for months, it now crashes immediately 100% of the time without opening. If I delete and reinstall, I will lose all my data.
But then it started to ask me to rate it and then crapped out. Repeatedly. So I am submitting this review with the hope it fixes the problem. If it does, I will come back and give it the 4 stars it would have if it worked. If not, well, it keeps a star.
Worked great for a few days then started reading my pulse radically when In fact could feel my pulse just fine with my finger started giving me extreme anxiety due to not reading correctly feared a heart attack this aps not worth the stress.
I have a slow irregular heartbeat. This app will not complete a reading when I am at rest while my heartbeat is slow irregular. Useless. If I have my heartbeat up and more regular (on treadmill) then it will record a scan & heart rate. The developers of this app should modify it so that it works with a slow irregular heartbeat. The "Cardio" app will.
Not compatible with new iOS
I like that I can send my HR recordings, unlike with Azumio. But I dont like that it doesnt support the Health application (specifically theres no functionality to log heart rate info to the iOS Health app), which Azumio does. For a paid app, I would like this to be added.
If this version supported the iOS 8 health application, I would have given it 5 stars. My other 2 apps both support the health application.
Takes a little to figure out how to hold your finger consistently. But once you have it its easy. And compared equal to what the physician found. And as I dont use a health app yet not bothered by it not doing a handshake.
Please update to share data with health app.
I would give it 5 Stars, but since I got my new Iphone 6 Plus it now crashes immediately once I open it. I had no choice but to delete it and reinstall it. Now my data is gone and it still crashes!
I have an irregular heartbeat and it will not even give me a reading. Better to use your finger on your wrist and watch a clock. Not worth the $1.99
Reads pulse from finger very inadequately. A much better pulse ap is one that reads ones pulse by eyeing your retina.
Have been using this app since February of 2012 and it has been awesome. Enjoy the design choices made by the developer and its low amount of clutter and ease of use. Well done.
These light sensitive apps for heart are useless. Dont waste your money. Garbage!
This is the only app that records your pulse pattern, not just the bpm figure, and enables you to send that pattern chart via pdf. Thats great! Unfortunately the app doesnt expect or accept irregular rates. Those with afib (there are millions) and their doctors would find it VERY useful to have this app record irregular heartbeat patterns. Please consider making such a change!
